About

My name is Chris Hatch and I was born in St. Louis but raised in the southeast part of the US.   I met Josephine, who was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, at university and we married in 1993.   After graduating from Covenant Seminary, I was the founding director of Hope for Chattanooga (which is now Hope for the Inner City).  In 2005 we moved to the Southall community of London to join the work of New Life Masih Ghar and have become an ordained elder (pastor) in the International Presbyterian Church.

We are currently asking God to use us to build a new community of faith in west London that is centered on Jesus and is marked by love, mercy and creativity. This new city within the city would be made up of all members of the community – rich/poor, British/immigrant, young/old, folks with backgrounds from across the world.

Jos and I have two kids; Rahel who is 15 and Kaleb who is 11.  I enjoy sports (Arsenal and St. Louis Cardinals), walking my dog, reading, eating good food with friends, exploring London and hanging out with my family.

In the evening when it’s not raining, I enjoy sitting around my fire pit talking with friends about life – hence the name of this blog.
